AUBURN, Ala.- Auburn Area Community Theatre Young Performers (ages 12-17) will present "Shrek the Musical JR.," based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks film and hit Broadway show, this February and March. Tickets are available online at auburnact.ticketspice.com/shrek.

Follow Shrek and his band of fairytale misfits on a fun-filled adventure to rescue a princess and discover the power of acceptance. The cast features youth from Auburn, Opelika and surrounding communities, including Alexander City, Beauregard and Smiths Station.

Performances are set for Feb. 28 and March 1, 3, 6, and 7 at 6:30 p.m., with matinees on March 1 and 8 at 2 p.m. at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center, 222 E. Drake Ave. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for children, students and seniors.
